Ourique: Fair Garvão rural charm 12 a 14 May.
Between 12 and 14 May, Garvão welcomes the Fair Garvão 2017, the Agricultural Exhibition, musical and cultural activities and traditions that mobilize the presence of farmers, creators and general public without.
The Fair Garvão is par excellence the most genuine and far-off expression of the labor of those who work in our fields, with major events such as the structural prevention of forest or meeting Garvonesa Race producers on Friday, 12 May; the auction of breeding pigs of the Alentejo breed, the auction Romane-INRA Race, IX Derbi of the Southern Region Driving or Meeting Sing to jolt on Saturday, 13 May; and Garvão XVII Regional Contest Alentejo Rafeiro or 1 riding Pool at work.
An integral part of the Fair tradition, will be held several equestrian activities during the event and the traditional Running of Bulls, Saturday, 13 May, by 17 hours, with the participation of Luis Nightingale riders, Tito and Sónia Matias Semedo and Forcados Groups Amateurs Ribatejo, Cascais and Monsaraz.
A great time of fellowship and affirmation of Garvão and Ourique
Alongside the technical dimension of presentation of the excellence of the creations and regional products, take several gastronomic events and musical entertainment, with input from Saramagos of Garvão, the Sonido Andaluz and Ricardo Glória on Friday, 12 May; of Dona Zefinha and Quim Barreiros on Saturday, 13 May; and Alentejo Winds, no Sunday, 14 May, by 20 hours, at the end of the event.
After the presence in pig Alentejo Fair, TVI once again be present at the fair in Garvão 2017, a partir the 13:30 hours, Sunday, 14 May 2017. Another opportunity to bring far away the marks of our rural identity and low Alentejo.
The event is part of the commitment of the Municipality of Ourique in row pig Alentejo, in partnership with the Alentejo Pig Breeders Association (ACPA) and Board of Parishes of Garvão Union and Santa Luzia, It follows shortly after the filing of the lawsuit instigated against the authorization for the installation of Montaraz factory in Garvão; after Santana da Serra ham, produced by Montaraz of Garvão company was considered the Best of the Best in Category Hams 7th National Sausage Competition, Bagged and Portuguese Traditional Hams held in Santarém between days 9 and 10 March; a renewed entrepreneurial ambition in the creation and processing of pork alentejano.
