Ourique: Feira do Porco Alentejano is back in full.


The XV edition of the Feira do Porco Alentejano, is the biggest stage of convergence of wills, of the work and affirmation of an important agri-food chain in Ourique, from Baixo Alentejo and Portugal.

Of 24 a 26 March, Ourique will welcome thousands of visitors looking for the excellence of regional products, the good gastronomy, the musical animation, the traditions, innovations and a healthy coexistence between people committed to the Rural World, biodiversity and productive potential.

As is tradition, the event begins with an important technical dimension., in defense of valuing the work of creators, but it generated space for gastronomic innovations such as the acorn cake or the Alentejo pork pie and for brands that have contributed to the success of the Fair, integrated into the strategy to assert the sector and Ourique as the Capital of Alentejo Pork.

Among the many new, emphasis on the performance of the Children's Choir Group of the Municipality of Ourique, which constitutes an important contribution to the preservation of Cante Alentejano, one of the hallmarks of our cultural identity.

In 2023, the Municipality of São João da Pesqueira, on the banks of the Douro, with a relevant wine production will be the invited territory for a harmony of knowledge and flavors of the Portuguese rural world.

The XV edition of the Feira do Porco Alentejano, has a series of permanent activities: Exhibition of specimens of Alentejo pig; children's amusement park; ham raffle; street entertainment; Gastronomy, and the daily opening time will be at 10:30 hours.
