A couple was left homeless following a fire that broke out in one of the rooms of their home., in the village of Funcheira, in the Union of Parishes of Garvão and Santa Luzia, in Ourique county.
Has learned the Lidador News (LN), for reasons that are being investigated, the alert was given shortly after 20,00 Hour Sunday, and the fire started in the living room and spread to the kitchen, leaving the two compartments uninhabitable and the remaining compartments very damaged, due to the intense smoke caused by the fire.
According to a source from the Ourique Volunteer Firefighters, the couple, a man of 78 years and a woman 69 year old, were watching on site, not requiring hospital treatment, having been rehoused in a house belonging to the Municipality of Ourique.
There were 23 operational, supported by 10 vehicles, Ourique Volunteer Firefighters, GNR, Municipal Civil Protection and Union of Parishes of Garvão and Santa Luzia.
