The Infrastructure Portugal (IP) launched a public tender for the rehabilitation of the Funcheira Railway Station, in Ourique county.
A process that has a base amount of 510 thousand euros and an execution period of 210 days (seven months).
According to the Competition pieces, The project includes the recovery of all infrastructure, since there are "several pathologies on the roof and inside" of the building, being related to "with infiltrations that happened at the level of the algerozes"
In this sense, The documents refer that, as a consequence, The infiltrations are at the source of «Degradation of the outer walls in stone masonry and the origin of the degradation of the wood of the floor inside the building, as well as the partition walls and inner plays ».
IP considers that these problems are 'serious' and that they can' have harmful consequences, including the collapse of structures ».
This way, The defined solutions aim to 'correct the pathologies existing in the station, returning their architectural capacity and users' safety ».
