The Municipality of Ourique presents Ourique Empreende 2025, a strategic program to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the municipality’s economy.
The initiative aims to support new business ideas, boost micro and small businesses and stimulate job creation. Registration is open until 30 of September.
Aware of the challenges that characterize low-density territories, such as the scarcity of investments and the need for economic diversification, the Municipality of Ourique takes a proactive role in encouraging entrepreneurship, recognizing it as an essential lever for sustainable progress. The Ourique Empreende program 2025 represents a commitment to the population and the business community, offering conditions for new ideas to become concrete projects with local impact.
Support and objectives
With a global allocation of 30.000 €, the program provides non-refundable financial support until 4.000 € per project, covering 70% of the investment made. Initiatives that result in the creation of new companies or two, or more jobs will benefit from an increase in 5%, recognizing the additional impact of these actions for the municipality.
The applications, open until 30 of September, are intended to support investments that promote: Creating value and qualified employment. Innovation and creativity in the local business fabric. The establishment of new economic activities in the territory.
Eligible expenses include the purchase of equipment, remodeling works, development of digital platforms and other strategic investments.
Assessment criteria and application process
Projects will be evaluated based on strategic relevance for the municipality, in the degree of innovation and differentiation, and its coherence and feasibility. Micro and small companies can apply, sole traders and entrepreneurs who set up or expand their activity in the municipality of Ourique.
The application must be formalized through own form, available on website municipality or in person at municipal services, accompanied by the necessary documentation for evaluation.

We know that micro and small businesses play a central role in the revitalization of rural territories, and this program is a direct stimulus to entrepreneurship as a driver of sustainable and balanced growth.”
