The president of the municipality and the Education councilor were present at the opening of the school year and stated “education as one of the main priorities”.
At the opening of the new school year, Marcelo Guerreiro and councilor Ana Martins visited some of the school spaces, stating that “education as one of the greatest priorities”, having assumed that for this academic year the Municipality ensures: the delivery of card books to 1st grade students, 2° and 3rd cycles, vouchers worth €10 to all students to purchase school materials and the offer of a student diary to 2nd grade students,3° cycle and secondary.
Marcelo Guerreiro thanked the Municipality employees and the entire school community “for having a peaceful first day of classes and with everything working normally”, wishing everyone “an excellent academic year!".
Meanwhile, the renovation of the Old Conceição School Building is underway, work is underway to requalify the Old School of Conceição, adapting the building to a Community Center for different uses that will soon be available to the population.
This is a project promoted by the Union of Parishes in partnership with the Municipality.
