The Municipality of Ourique will commemorate the 884th anniversary of the Battle through a series of initiatives that bring together the past, the present and the future, always focusing on people and territory, with the presence of the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Territorial Planning, Carlos Miguel, who will visit works in progress and inaugurate the urban requalification of Praça Padre António Pereira, in yet another intervention to enhance public space carried out in the municipality.
The Commemorations of the Battle of Ourique include the following initiatives: 09H00 | Hoist the National Flag and sing the Anthem of Portugal, Children from the Ourique ATL and Passos do Concelho Building, 10H30 | Battle of Ourique themed paints and brushes – Painting Studio by Elisa Alves, children of 6 to 12 years and Municipal Library of Ourique, 19H00 | Inauguration Ceremony of the Urban Requalification of Praça Padre António Pereira and 19H30 | Musical moment with Guilherme Colaço, Joao Nobre and Miguel Gil.
