The Municipality of Ourique launches the calendar 2025, under the theme “Sing in the Municipality of Ourique”, paying homage to one of the most striking cultural traditions of Alentejo and our land.
This project exalts the soul and spirit of Cante Alentejano, reflected in the Children's Choir Group of the Municipality of Ourique, in the Coral de Ourique Group and the Coral Alma Alentejana Group.
The photographs that make up this calendar capture the essence of this tradition, illustrating moments of togetherness, emotion and the collective strength of the voices that echo throughout the city and the country. Each “portrait” is a testament to the dedication to preserving a cultural heritage that unites generations and represents the Gaucho identity.
More than a simple calendar, This is a tribute to Cante Alentejano and the people of our municipality, who finds in the voices of his choral groups a way of perpetuating memories and stories that transcend time. It is an invitation to value what defines us as a people and an incentive to preserve one of the most genuine cultural expressions in Portugal.
The calendar will be distributed during Janeiras and Cante ao Menino, reinforcing the connection between traditions and moments lived in community.
Later, will be available at parish councils, in a partnership between the municipality and these entities.
