The Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ourique celebrates its 45th anniversary today on Saturday, next to the barracks facilities, in Ourique.
to the ceremony, which is marked for 10 hours, chairs the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Patricia Gaspar, which will be attended by the Mayor of Ourique, Marcelo Guerreiro.
The mayor justified that Ourique Volunteer Firefighters “are a fundamental pillar of the community, realizing an operational response capacity in normal times and in emergenciesâ€, adding that “they are an important expression of an active citizenship, committed to the common good and available to act for the good of the community in the face of risks and occurrencesâ€, concluded.
“The institution, thanks to the commitment of the women and men who are part of it, materialize a remarkable civic impulse of support for the community to which the Municipality of Ourique has corresponded with a set of support for the logistical and operational conditions of the corporationâ€, justified Marcelo Guerreiro.
on the occasion of 45 years of life of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ourique, this will invoke the memory of all who served the institution and salute the women and men who are currently part of it, in anticipation of building conditions for maintaining the operational response capacity to the populations and the territory.
The Ceremony will have the following schedule: 08H00 – raising of flags; 08H30 – Pilgrimage to the Cemetery; 10H00 – Reception to Entities (Headquarters of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ourique); 10H30 – Solemn Session – Delivery of Medals to the Elements of the Fire Department and other Honorary distinctions and 12H00 – Blessing of New Vehicles.
The Ourique Fire Brigade is commanded by, from 31 October 2016, Mario Batista, the 2nd Commander is António Domingos and the Deputy Commander is LuÃs Filipe Guerreiro, has 58 operational and 30 Car.
During the 45th anniversary ceremony, will be decorated 31 firefighters for the years of service in favor of the corporation and the blessing of 3 vehicles, a rescue ambulance, an ambulance for the transport of non-urgent patients acquired by the association and a light fire-fighting vehicle, offered by REN and the transformation with the support of SOMINCOR.
