Within the scope of the partnership between the Municipality of Ourique and the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), the Mobile Health Unit (UMS) continues to make monthly trips to parishes, isolated places and hills in the municipality.
Among the places visited by UMS are Conceição, Crooked River, Wolf Portela, Monte da Ribeira and Fitos, with a doctor and nurse in permanent monitoring.
Proximity responses are a permanent concern of municipal management, taking into account the dispersion of the territory, the aging of the population and obstacles to mobility.
With this initiative in the field of health, the municipality wants to promote access to services, regardless of where you live, age or physical and social condition.
