The municipality of Ourique, through the Jorge Sampaio Library, invites you to dive into the universe of books and reading at the 24th edition of the Book Fair!
Of 7 a 14 November, Praça Padre António Pereira becomes a meeting point for all literature lovers, with free entry and programming that promises to captivate visitors of all ages and tastes. It's a celebration of culture in Ourique, where the word, the book and reading take center stage. Eight days of excitement and discoveries.
Editing 2024 of the Book Fair promises an intense and comprehensive program, maintaining the initiative's focus on promoting books and reading and disseminating literature and its accessibility to all audiences. From book presentations to musical shows, going through exhibitions, signings, Offices, short story sessions, and more, there is something for every taste.
One of this year's highlights is the presence of acclaimed writer Francisco Moita Flores, on 8 November, providing visitors with a moment of proximity to one of the great names in Portuguese literature. Among the new, We highlight the launch of the writing course “How to Choose Words, with VÃtor Encarnação, a 10 November, which will continue after the end of the Fair. And for special moments, Don't miss the storytelling session for pregnant women on the day 9 November.

The Book Fair aims to promote a love of reading and expand access to literature, giving visibility to local talent in collaboration with the Alentejo Writers Association (SETTLE). The event will be open from 10am to 7pm, at the Book Fair Tent, in Piazza Padre António Pereira. In addition to ASSESTA, the CPCJ of Ourique is also a partner of the municipality at the Book Fair.

For eight days, the Book Fair Tent will host activities dedicated to the whole family, from morning to night, in an environment that invites sharing and reflection. With a varied program, the Book Fair is a celebration of the word, of the book and the authors.
