Ovibeja was the winner of the guardian prize of the domestic biodiversity jointly awarded by the Portuguese Society of Genetic Resources Animals (Obey) and by the rural life magazine.
ACOS maintains that “this reward recognizes and distinguishes conservation activities, use and promotion of animal genetic resources for food and agriculture, generally, and native races and their products, in particular â€.
At the award ceremony and the respective diploma, The Director General of ACOS was present, Claudino Matos.
This distinction joins the five star prize- 2025, that ovibeja won this year in the party category, fairs and festivals.
And 41ª ovibeja, which will be held from 30 from April to 4 May, the Fairs and Exhibition Center Beja, this year added several thematic spaces to meet different audiences. Among many other proposals, stands out a pedagogical fifth for the youngest and their families, A pavilion dedicated to hunting, Nature and Biodiversity, a social responsibility fair, Baixo Alentejo Technology Fair integrated in the activities of the Innovation and Technology Pavilion, that is installed in the field of the fair.
