Ovibeja: President of the Republic inaugurates 37th edition, a virtual fair.


The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will preside, on 22 April, by 10 hours, to the opening session of the 37th Ovibeja, that this year takes place in digital version. After two days and six topics in reflection, the Minister of Agriculture closes a webinar on the irrigation of Alqueva.

Com uma programação intensa, participação de expositores e uma boa dose de inovação e empreendedorismo, a edição deste ano da 37ª Ovibeja traz aos seus públicos “Todo o Alentejo deste Mundoâ€, numa plataforma online de livre acesso, quer por computador, quer através de dispositivos móveis.

Palco de apresentação e discussão dos temas centrais da agricultura, a edição deste ano da Ovibeja vai realizar um conjunto de webinars que podem ser acompanhados a partir do site do evento, no auditório ACOS em www.ovibeja.pt, sem necessidade de inscrição prévia. On 22 April, from 10.00, there will be a reflection on the theme “Sustainability of Agro-Silvo-Pastoral Systems†culminating in the presentation of the Competence Center on Extensive Grazing. On the same day, but scheduled for 15:00, there will be a round table on the “Sustainability of the Alentejo Wine Sectorâ€. A partir the 17:30, the colloquium on “Oliviculture and Olive Oil†will be held.

On 23 10h00, There will be a webinar on “Investments in the agricultural sector under the new CAP†with the participation of the PDR2020 Manager and a representative of the European Commission. At 2:30 pm, a new debate begins on “The Use and Management of Public Irrigation Perimeters – European Experiencesâ€, with speakers from three countries: Portugal, Italy and Spain. The last webinar is scheduled for 4:30 pm and will address “Irrigation Management in the EFMA perimeter. This reflection will have the participation of representatives of various public and private entities linked to irrigation and will be closed by the Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes.
