Pandemic: 119 municipalities at extreme risk, less 100 than previous evaluation.


Seven municipalities in the district of Beja remain at extreme risk of contagion due to the covid pandemic. Being less 100 municipalities in that last severity bracket.

In the accumulated incidence rate higher than 960 by 100 thousand, are the Municipalities of Aljustrel, Beja, Castro Verde, Cuba, Mértola, Moura and Ourique. The only one without restrictions is the municipality of Alvito with 81 cases / 100 thousand inhabitants.

District councils, one by one, according to the degree of risk. Extremely high (more than 960 cases / 100 thousand inhabitants): Aljustrel (2183), Beja (1114), Castro Verde (979), Ferreira do Alentejo (994), Mértola (1335), Moura (2005) and Serpa (1077), Very high (of 480 a 960 cases / 100 thousand inhabitants): Canyons (796), Cuba (958), Odemira (627), Ourique (868), High (of 240 a 480 cases / 100 thousand inhabitants): Almodovar (342) and Vidigueira (399) and Moderate (less than 240 cases / 100 thousand inhabitants): Alvito (81).

There 119 municipalities with more than 960 cases by 100 thousand inhabitants last 14 days, between 20 January and 2 Feb., according to data from the Regional Directorate for Health, reported this Monday (https://covid19.min-saude.pt/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/350_DGS_boletim_20210215.pdf), sheets 3 a 5. Four counties are counted with zero cases of Covid-19 per 100 thousand inhabitants last 14 days: Calheta, Lajes das Flores, Lajes do Pico and São Roque do Pico.

In the explanatory note of data by municipality it is stated that the cumulative incidence “corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the time of analysis and the estimated resident population â€.
