Announcement from Dorbe from PCP about Beja Airport

The Regional Directorate of Alentejo welcomes the approval, in Parliament, of the proposal for a Resolution by the authorship and initiative of the PCP for the use of Beja Airport in its various dimensions and potential.

Beja Airport is a decisive element in promoting territorial cohesion, with repercussions on the level of wealth and employment it generates..

It is an infrastructure that, by its characteristics, by the conditions available, for its location in a strategic position between Lisbon and the Algarve and between Lisbon and Madrid, takes on great importance in the current framework and can be one of the important levers for the development of the Alentejo region.

Recalling the many positions and initiatives of the PCP regarding the full use of this important airport infrastructure, the Regional Directorate of Alentejo of the PCP considers that the approval of this initiative by the PCP is one more step towards reversing a trend of underutilization of Beja Airport that results essentially from the lack of political will, namely the successive governments of the PS and PSD.
