PSP: Detained in Beja and Moura, four dealers. Two were held in custody.


A woman already with a record for drug trafficking and who was on parole, was arrested in Beja and was held in custody.

Beja District Command (CDB) of the PSP announced the arrest, four people, three men and a woman, aged 28 and 41 year old, Beja and Moura. Two of the detainees were held in pre-trial detention..

The arrests took place following the completion of two operations carried out by operators of the Police Stations of those Alentejo cities, last day 1 Feb., with a view to combating drug trafficking.

In the communiqué released today by the CDB of the PSP, it is revealed that they have been seized 120 individual doses of hashish, 85 doses of heroin, 4 doses of cocaine, 1 precision scale and 1 cutting knife. A car and a car were also confiscated from the suspects. 3 mobile phones.

Two men arrested in Moura, were presented to a Judge of Criminal Investigation (JIC) of the court of that city, having one stays in preventive detention, returning to the Prison (EP) Beja. In this city a couple was arrested, he is a foreigner and she is Portuguese, the woman being applied by the JIC of the Court of Beja the most serious measure, having collected from the Odemira EP. The other two detainees were subject to the less burdensome measure, term of identity and residence (TIR)

The two preventive detainees have in common the fact that both have already served time for the same type of crime., both are on parole.
