Serpa City Council focus on waste collection door-to-door in the Historic Center.
The Municipality of Serpa will test, early next year, the implementation of a system for collecting door-to-door (/ PAP) municipal waste.
The ultimate goal is to make it just the price of this collection, which is now paid together with the water bill. The PAYT system provides that each person pay only collect the quantities of waste that produces. It is also intended to combat waste and encourage recycling.
It is a set of all the municipalities that are part of Resialentejo and is expected to entry into operation of the project early next year, Serpa.
For now the municipality is developing outreach work with all citizens involved, performing clarification door-to-door.
