Serpa: CDU recandidata Tomé Pires to the presidency of the Chamber.


The CDU has announced the candidacy of Tomé Pires, current president, the Municipality of Serpa.

The Concelhia Coordinator Serpa of Unitary Democratic Coalition (CDU), has this morning, public its decision to present Tomé Pires, current Mayor of Serpa, as a candidate for president of the City Council in municipal elections 1 October 2017.

Tomé Pires is the Mayor of Serpa from 2012, at which João Rocha abdicated the presidency, after 33 years of leadership of the city council. The Serpa Chamber had to date three presidents: Satyr Costa Louzeiro between 1976-1979, John Manuel Silva Rocha between 1979-2012 and Thomas Martins Pires between 2012-2017.

Tomé Pires, CDU, e Manuel Gomes, PS hair, Applicants are known, until today, the presidency of the municipality of Serpa, in municipal elections scheduled for 01 October.

The CDU leads of eight 14 municipalities in the district of Beja (Alvito, Canyons, Beja, Cuba, Castro Verde, Moura, Serpa and Vidigueira) e or PS six (Aljustrel, Almodovar, Ferreira do Alentejo, Mértola, Odemira and Ourique).
