Unions issue a statement revealing that Santa Casa da Miseric贸rdia de Serpa did not pay the September salary.
No document, the Portuguese Nurses Union (SEP) and the Commercial Workers Union, Portugal Offices and Services (CESP), justify that they were aware of non-payment of salaries and vacation pay within the legal deadline, at the Santa Casa da Miseric贸rdia de Serpa, accusing the institution that 鈥渢his has happened repeatedly鈥, remembering that 鈥減ayment must be made by the last day of each month and the vacation allowance in the month in which the vacation is taken鈥.
SEP and CESP, has already sent a joint request for clarification 鈥 urgently 鈥 to Santa Casa, and informed the Alentejo Regional Health Administration (ARS), to the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security and the Ministry of Health, as these entities have an agreement with Santa Casa.
The two trade union organizations justify that 鈥渢his situation is unacceptable as workers fulfill their work obligations, have the right to receive their salary within the legal deadline and are also penalized with default interest due to the fact that the employer does not fulfill its obligation.
For SEP and CESP 鈥渢he Alentejo Regional Health Administration, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health itself cannot ignore what is happening at Santa Casa da Miseric贸rdia de Serpa鈥, Remata.
