Alqueva: Water used for irrigation without authorization in “6.500 hectares”.
The associations Zero and Almargem refer in a statement that “an area larger than the size of the city of Porto, essentially in the municipalities [Alentejanos] Beja, Évora and Serpa, is using public waters from the Alqueva dam without authorization, in many cases for several years now”.
