Odemira: Beginning of the school year with the new SĂŁo LuĂs School Center and 2,4 million euros in works and support.
The beginning of the school year 2024/25 in the municipality of Odemira is marked by the opening of the new SĂŁo LuĂs School Center, the continuation of investments in the qualification of the school system in the order of 1 million euros, as well as the investment of around 1,4 million euros in school social action and support.
Odemira: Second soldier involved in attacks on immigrants was expelled from the GNR.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Margarida Blasco, applied the disciplinary penalty of separation from service to GNR soldier JoĂŁo Miguel Lopes, sentenced to eight years and seven months in prison, in legal height, for crimes against immigrants in the municipality of Odemira.

The Cultural Center, Fornalhas Velhas Recreation and Sports Center will open on the day 7 of September, by 15.00 hours, in a ceremony that will be attended by the Mayor of Odemira, Helder Warrior, and the President of the Parish Council of Vale de Santiago, Inês Hilário.

On 8 of September, by 10.30 hours, the Solemn Session of Municipality Day will take place at the MisericĂłrdia Church of Odemira. On the day the municipal holiday is marked, the Protocol Ceremony will be a moment to honor and recognize twelve health professionals who stood out for their work in the service of Alentejo and the Odemirense community.
