Today marks the “European Day to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings”, a day created by the European Union in 2007, with the aim of raising awareness among political decision-makers and civil society to implement policies in the fight against trafficking in human beings, reinforcing the need to ensure cooperation between States in the development and sharing of knowledge and information.

Taking into account the promulgation by the President of the Republic of the diploma of the Assembly of the Republic that clarifies the sanctioning regime relating to the possession of drugs for consumption regardless of the quantity, amending Decree-Law no. 15/93, of 22 January, it's Lei's n.º 30/2000, of 29 November, as soon as it comes into force, will force the Security Forces (FS), whenever they seize drugs, questioning its holder, whether the drug is to be consumed or to be trafficked?
