Beja: Defendants of the “Hyper Gang” rule out premeditation and group crimes.
Despite being accused of the crimes of qualified theft and forgery of documents, the short testimonies of three of the five defendants of the “Hyper Gang”, who began to be tried on Monday at the Beja Court, were intended to avoid a substantial change in the facts that could incriminate them in a more serious way.
Beja: Young 25 years old tried to rob a minor 13 years and was detained.
A couple of 25 year old, foreign nationals, was subject to periodic presentations, after trying to rob an underage girl and threatening several members of the public with a knife.
Justice: “Conveyor” of 1,2 tons of cannabis sentenced to 9 years in prison.
A Panel of Judges from the Court of Beja condemned the 9 years in prison for an individual who during the trial admitted himself to be an “occasional transporter” of a shipment of 1,2 tons of cannabis, who was caught on the highway 2 (A2) in an operation by the GNR Operational Support Center in Lisbon.
Beja: Three months later the court maintains the lack of accessibility for people with disabilities.
The lack of accessibility at the Beja Court, in the past day 20 February led to the postponement of a trial of a defendant with reduced mobility, remains more than three months later. The trial took place yesterday, because the elevator was working, but it did not take place in the main room of the building.

Two Indian nationals, who are in custody, and a Spaniard by birth, but son of Portuguese and resident in Beja, start, today to be tried in the Court of Beja. They are accused of four crimes of qualified theft in the completed form and four in the attempted form.
