Google has confirmed that it will move forward with its plan to permanently delete inactive user accounts, anticipating that it will be on the day 1 December that these accounts will be deleted.

Mountain View technology considers dormant accounts to be those that show no sign of activity over a two-year period..
The aim is to prevent security risks, since older accounts with no activity are less likely to employ measures such as two-factor authentication, making them an easier target for hackers.
