According to data analyzed by Anacom, total fixed broadband Internet traffic increased 10% no 3rd trimester, compared to the same period last year. Average monthly traffic per access also grew, 7,2%, for an average of 301 GB consumed.
During this period it can also be seen that the number of fixed broadband accesses increased by 113 thousand, for a total of 4,7 million.
Fiber continues to be the driver of growth in fixed broadband access and already represents 68% do total. If the fiber grows, other access technologies continue to lose ground, as with the cable whose number of connections dropped to 24,4%. The number of fixed accesses supported on mobile networks also fell for those 5% and the same happened with ADSL, which only represents more 2,1% of access.

A new study of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers revealed that the music and audiovisual industry could lose 22 billion euros of revenue until 2028 because of content generated by Artificial Intelligence.
