In this sense, companies will be more likely to become the big winners in this new market. Among the sectors that have shown greater interest in the use of technologies similar to or related to the metaverse, the following stand out:: entertainment, manufacturing industry, Cheers, education and professional training.

The study also indicates five competitive factors to gain market share in the metaverse: virtual experiences, content creation tools, app stores and operating systems, devices and computing and infrastructure.

A new report from Boston Consulting Group indicates that one in three people believes that their job will be eliminated by the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (HE) in the business market.

The report reveals that while 62% of leaders and companies say they are optimistic about AI technology, among workers only 42% reflects this feeling.

To deal with AI entering the scene, 86% of workers say they will need training to improve their skills. Among the workers, 14% says he has already received the necessary training to update the respective competitions, while 44% of leaders say they are already prepared for the arrival of AI.

The report also notes that 71% of participants believe that AI will have rewards but, for this technology to be implemented, 79% says it is necessary to enact specific regulations.

Brussels released the first report on the state of the Digital Decade and it contains recommendations for Portugal.

Regarding the 5G network, coverage in Portugal (70%) is below the European Union average (EU 81%), appealing to the community executive to “continued efforts on connectivity infrastructure, accelerating those supporting 5G coverage”.

The digitalization of public services must also be accelerated, so that the target of 100%, with online services’ for citizens to register a tax 78% and for companies 82%.

Brussels also wants more in terms of basic digital skills to achieve the proposed objective: 80% of people between 16 and 74 years and reach the 20 millions of ICT specialists up to 2030.

Another report shared by the European Commission indicates that the social network (the old Twitter) is the biggest source of misinformation among all major social networks.

The report in question examined X, o Facebook, o LinkedIn, or Instagram, o TikTok e YouTube. More than six thousand publications and more than four thousand different accounts were analyzed from three countries with elections taking place soon: Spain, Poland and Slovakia.

According to the analysis, X was considered the platform with the highest rate of misinformation, not only at the level of publications, as well as accounts dedicated to this ‘activity’, surpassing Facebook.
