The relationship between the mental health and browsing online are causal and bidirectional: mood influences the type of content we consume and, in turn, the content we see can affect our mood and well-being.

The conclusions are from a study published in the journal Nature Human Behavior, which also proposes a solution to help make more conscious and healthy choices on the internet.
“The results show that browsing content with a negative tone not only reflects the person’s state of mind, but it can also make it worse. This creates a cycle that perpetuates mental health challenges over time.”, says one of the study’s co-authors, Tali Sharot.
Just as we use food labels to make informed choices, “applying this approach to online content can help us make healthier choices online”, concluded Talit Sharot.
Eurostat launched a comparative analysis, with data from 2023, based on data on internet access and use in the region, in rural and urban areas.
Figures from the European Union's statistical service show that 95% of European homes in cities already have internet access, a percentage not very different from that which was possible to determine for rural areas (91%).
The data reveal that in Portugal internet access in rural areas reached 79,9% of families. Only Greece is worse (78,5%).

This week appeared signs that Sony Interactive Entertainment is developing a new portable console compatible with PlayStation games 5.
According to a Bloomberg publication, the project is still “in its early stages”, so we will have to wait a few years until the release. However, the alleged objective is to “expand reach and compete with Nintendo in the portable market”.
It is worth remembering that Sony launched Portal last year, a portable console that has just received an update that allows you to access Plus Premium games in the 'cloud' and without the need to have a PlayStation 5.
Since we talk about consoles… Sony has updated its official records and, as a consequence, confirmed that PlayStation 2 surpassed the mark 160 million units sold, “revalidating” its position as the best-selling console of all time.
The PS2 was released in March 2000 and continued to be produced until the beginning of 2013.
PS2's closest competitor, a Nintendo DS, sold approx. 154 million units. However, a Nintendo Switch, currently with around 146 million units sold, remains the most likely candidate to challenge the PS2's record, depending on its life cycle and the impact of its expected successor.
Let's go to the cinema and the premiere of the week. Highlight for “Poolman – Dreamer Activist”, a comedy/drama starring Darren Barrenman (played by Chris Pine) the main character, that among various adventures, you don't imagine you've been caught in a web of intrigue, Mistakes and dangers leading to the largest water theft in Los Angeles history…
Jennifer Jason Leigh and Danny DeVito are also in the cast of this film where Chris Pine also directs.
