According to a study by Flatio, Portugal tops the list with 27,1% of digital nomads surveyed by the platform mentioning our country as their preferred destination. In addition to mainland Portugal, the island of Madeira is in the spotlight, coming up in seventh place, being preferred by 3,9% of digital nomads.
On the other hand, Spain is the destination that most digital nomads want to visit in the future (14,5%), followed by Brazil and the island of Madeira (both with 13,3%). Mainland Portugal appears in sixth place, with 7,3% of respondents voting for this destination.
According to the study, cost is the main factor that determines the choice of the next destination to visit by digital nomads (46,6%). Here are factors such as sun exposure (15%), security (12%), wifi quality (9,4%) and good health services (6,1%).
