After analyzing more than 31 Hotspots million worldwide, cybersecurity firm reveals that a quarter of all these wireless internet public networks are not properly protected and all that is transmitted through them are at risk of being captured by hackers.
Other public Wi-Fi networks are protected by some kind of communications encryption mechanism, or it becomes difficult, but not impossible, access to private data of users by criminals in the digital world.
An advice: do not use wireless internet networks that do not ask for passwords, for example, performing bank transfers or online shopping. Kaspersky Lab indicates that personal messages, e-mail, credentials and passwords can fall into the wrong hands when users connect to open access networks.
A study of Blancco Technology Group (BTG) indicates that iPhones and iPads fail more than Android devices.
According to data collected, between July and September this year, iPhone and iPad registered a greater number of failures than equivalent devices Google operating system.
In the period, 62% equipment with iOS suffered some kind of failure, comparatively 47% two Android. The application failed in about 65% of iOS devices tested. The value falls to 25% no case, two Android.
