Air traffic: Blackout led plane with five arrested to land at the air base 11, in Beja.

A plane from the Azores, transporting five prisoners landed last night of the Air Base Number No.11 (BA11), in Beja, because the Lisbon airport was ended in the face of the electric blackout that affected Portugal.

The aircraft was carrying four prisoners from the Ponta Delgada Prison and one from Angra do Heroism, bound for lisbon chains, landed at BA11 about 22,00 hours.

In the parking lots of the military base, three transport vehicles of prisoners affecting the general direction of reintegration and prison services (DGRSP) awaited the arrival of the prisoners, that were then transported to the prison establishment of Beja (EPBeja) where they entered the 22,31 hours.

Both BA11 and EPBEJA have electric generators that allowed them to land on the aircraft on the military track, as well as the reception of prisoners in the Alentejo chain, and that will be taken today to the chains to which they were destined, since the conditions of supply of electricity that affected Portugal yesterday are restored.
