Tourism: "Tourism Awards Alentejo and Ribatejo". applications to 19 March.
Regional Tourism Organization launches VIII edition of the "Alentejo Tourism Awards" and IV of the "Tourism Awards do Ribatejo".
The Regional Tourism Organization promotes, for the eighth consecutive year, the "Alentejo Tourism Awards" and the fourth time the "Tourism Awards do Ribatejo", both with ten categories in the competition, including Best Tourist Resort, Best Rural Tourism, Best Guest accommodation, Best Tourist Entertainment, best Wine Tourism, best Event, Best Food Event, best Restaurant, Public and Best Communication Technology Project.
A iniciativa – addressed to all public or private actors that develop tourist interest projects in the regions -, It aims to distinguish and recognize excellence and innovation offer, Generally, It has contributed to design and affirm the territory in national and international markets.
According to the Alentejo Tourism / Ribatejo, the competition aims to motivate and reward the efforts of agents – as well as being important partners in the strategies implemented by the institution – betting constantly in dignifying and structuring of tourism.
Applications for awards must be submitted by a day 19 March, through the form available at www.visitalentejo.pt. and www.visitribatejo.pt and should be sent to the e-mails premiosribatejo@turismodoalentejo-ert.pt or premiosalentejo@turismodoalentejo-ert.pt, according to the respective regions to which they belong projects.
The jury of the Awards is chaired by José Manuel Simões (Centre for Geographical Studies / University of Lisbon), and composed by Antonio Lacerda (Regional Tourism Promotion Agency); José Manuel Santos (Turismo do Alentejo / Ribatejo) Armando Rocha (Neoturis); Carina Monteiro (Publituris);José Luis Elias (Turisver); Pedro Chenrin (Ambitur); Joan Emidio (The Lookout); José Miguel Piçarra (South Daily); Jaime Serra (University of Évora);e Teresa Ferreira (Tourism Portugal).
The announcement of the winners and award prizes is planned for May 2018, a ceremony where they will also be revealed the winners of the extra-contest prizes- namely Prize "Regional Agency for Foreign Tourist Promotion of Alentejo", Special Prize "Alentejo Tourism / Ribatejoâ€, Communication award Alentejo / Ribatejo and "Distinction Initiative" -, whose election process is the responsibility of the Alentejo Tourism / Ribatejo and the Regional Tourism Promotion Agency.
