The Union Parish Council of Parishes of Beja (Salvador and Feira), joined the National Campaign Launch Event 10 Millions of Stars a Gesture for Peace.
This campaign, in addition to raising awareness of the values ​​of Peace,, will allow with the revenue raised through the sale of candles, help to materialize actions with a social dimension, from the national network Cáritas (65%), that are a collective contribution to a better world, but also to collaborate with Portuguese-speaking countries (35%) through the Laudato Si Lusophone Fund: support for microprojects, under the hat of Integral Ecology, with the support of Cáritas Local. This way it is possible to finance and respond to local impact needs and leverage communities in their daily resilience.
Beja City Council is creating a green area next to Barranco do Poço dos Frangos (between the Conceição neighborhood and the Quinta D’El Rei Expansion). After this union of parishes had built, in 2021, a walkway that allows the connection between the two neighborhoods, and having equipped this area with geriatric equipment, the municipality decided to beautify this space by planting trees and reinforcing the placement of benches. The Parish Council of the Union of Parishes of Beja Salvador and Santa Maria da Feira, praises this work by the Municipality of Beja that will serve that area of ​​the parish, growing.
The Parish maintenance teams will, during this week, carry out the cleaning and collection of monos in all moloks and container stations in the neighborhoods and streets of the parish; clean up the Conceição neighborhood, neighborhood of Moinhos, urbanization of Santa Maria, Quinta D'El Rey, neighborhood of Pelame, Carmo Hill and Esperança neighborhood.
