They become like this 8 the UCC’s in operation at ULSBA (Aljustrel, Almodovar, Beja, Castro Verde, Ferreira do Alentejo, Moura, Ourique and Serpa).
Community Care Units (High) They are functional units integrated into Primary Health Care and complement the care activities of Family Health Units and Personalized Health Care Units, through the provision of health care and psychological and social support in the community and home context with people, most vulnerable families and groups, in a situation of greater risk or dependence.
The UCC also work at the level of health education, integration into family support networks and the implementation of mobile intervention units.
Until the end of the 1st quarter, will be in operation, in each of these 3 High, an Integrated Continuing Care Team (ETC), integral part of the Integrated Continuing Care Network, financed under the PRR (in a total amount of 300.000 euros) and will add more 46 beds at 90 currently contracted with ULSBA – 20 ECCI Moura, 14, ECCI Aljustrel, 12 I came from Castro Verde.
