In order to comply with the Autumn-Winter Health Plan 2020-21, and given the foreseeable increase in the influx of users with respiratory complaints, the Board of Directors of the Local Unit of the Lower Alentejo Health, EPE creates Dedicated Areas for Respiratory Patients and Covid-19 (ADR).
The referred ADR will work in the Health Centers of Beja, Castro Verde and Cuba, that went live yesterday, day 16 November.
It is an organized service structure that aims to respond to the entire area of ​​influence of ULSBA and to the population that needs care., namely in the municipalities of Beja and Serpa (ADR Beja); in the municipalities of Aljustrel, Almodovar, Castro Verde, Mértola and Ourique (ADR-C Castro Verde); and in the municipalities of Alvito, Cuba, Ferreira do Alentejo and Vidigueira (ADR-C Cuba).
Also within the scope of the Urgency and Emergency Network, ADR-SU General and ADR-SU Pediatric are created at Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, Beja, ADR-SU Castro Verde (Aljustrel, Almodovar, Castro Verde, Mértola and Ourique) and ADR-SU Moura (Barrancos e Moura).
ADRs are intended for the clinical evaluation of patients with suspected acute respiratory infection, including patients suspected of being infected with the new coronavirus. The referral of the suspected patient to the Dedicated Areas for Respiratory Patients is done through the evaluation of the SNS24 Line or by the Family Physician of the Health Center. In addition to medical evaluation, in these areas, tests will be carried out on Covid-19, if it's necessary, and orders for the SNS24 Line.
The user can also go to these Areas of Care Dedicated to Respiratory Diseases and COVID-19 if he presents the following symptoms: cough or change in your usual cough; cough and headaches; cough and muscle pain; fever (38ºC); breathing difficulty and sudden decrease in smell (smell) and / or taste (taste).

ADR Community - Beja: The Dedicated Area for Respiratory Patients, created in the Beja Health Center (by the Social Security), will work every day, the 10:00to h 18:00h, with pause 30 minutes for lunch.
ADR Community – Castro Verde: The Dedicated Area for Respiratory Patients, created at the Castro Verde Health Center will work every day, the 10:00to h 18:00h, with pause 30 minutes for lunch.
ADR- Community – Cuba: The Dedicated Area for Respiratory Patients, created at the Cuba Health Center will operate from Monday to Saturday, the 10:00to h 18:00h (with pause 30 minutes for lunch) and on Sundays 8:00to h 13:00h.
