Mário Jorge Santos was appointed health delegate coordinator of the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit, And. P. And. (ULSBA), but in accumulation with the position in the “neighboring” Local Health Unit of the Alentejo Coast (ULSLA).
On the same day that the service commission was renewed as a ULSLA health delegate, Mário Jorge Santos was introduced to the mayors, whose Municipalities are part of the Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo (CIMB) as the new Health Delegate Coordinator at ULSBA, exceptional and temporary, for a maximum period of one year.
The presentation was made using a conference call, by the Assistant Secretary of State and National Defense, Jorge Sanches Insurance, responsible for coordination in the Alentejo region.
In the appointment order, published in the Official Gazette, and signed by the Director-General of Health, Graça Freitas, it is justified that “being urgent and urgent the appointment of health authorities for the geographical area within the jurisdiction of ULSBA of the territorial circumscription of ARS Alentejo, in particular, in a pandemic context ”.
The document and justifying the need to proceed with the appointment, it is maintained that “being vague, on this date, all jobs in the Assistant category: Graduate Assistant and Senior Graduate Assistant of the special medical career in the area of Public Health planned and not employed at ULSBA and that is the ULSBA Public Health Unit without a coordinator, the performance of this function is clearly necessary, in particular, in the current pandemic context ”
No Office No. 1300/2021 where the renewal of the service commission of Mário Jorge Santos is promoted as health delegate of ULSLA, takes effect 7 February 2019, in other words, was holding a position for which he was not officially reappointed.
