O district of Beja, except Odemira, is the next stop of the Open Health initiative, Ministry of Health, back on the road this Monday.
Luís Coentro is the new clinical director for the Primary Health Care area of the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA).
The doctor was appointed by order of the members of the Government responsible for the areas of Health and Finance, for a term of three years, assuming functions on the Board of Directors of ULSBA as of this Monday, 3 July.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the clinical director was proposed by the Executive Board of the National Health Service, member of the Board of Directors of the unit, named to 6 of April and chaired by José Carlos Queimado. Vera Guerreiro is Clinical Director for Hospital Health Care. Vanessa Faria Almodôvar is an Executive Member in charge of finance and António Easter holds the position of Director Nurse.

It is recalled that the Minister of Health, the Secretary of State for Health Promotion and the Secretary of State for Health will go through the 13 municipalities of Baixo Alentejo and visit the different poles of ULSBA, in an initiative that aims to provide contact with users, professionals and mayors from different regions of the country.
“Open Health” Program
Today it is in the thirteen municipalities of the district of Beja that are part of the Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo (CIMB), being divided into four areas of intervention. Health Minister: Serpa (09h00), Moura (10h45) and Canyons (12h45), Secretary of State for Health Promotion: Vidigueira, (10h00), Cuba (12h15), Alvito (14h15) and Ferreira do Alentejo (15H40) and Secretary of State for Health: Mértola (09h00), Almodovar (10h45), Ourique (12h15), Castro Verde (14h30) and Aljustrel (16h00).
The three rulers have a common program in Beja from 5 pm, with the following alignment: 17h00-City Hall of Beja, 17h35-Visit to the Alfa Beja Family Health Unit, 18h15-Visit to Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes/ULSBA and presentation session of conclusions and 19:00-Statements to the Media.
