ULSBA: Unit marks World Viral Hepatitis Day.


The Local Health Unit of the Lower Alentejo (ULSBA) joins the commemorations of the World Viral Hepatitis Day in Beja, on days 27 and 28 July. Established in 2010 by the World Health Organization (OMS).

The Alentejo Regional Health Administration and the Regional Coordination of the Viral Hepatitis Priority Program decided to celebrate the day in the Central Alentejo sub-region (a 25, 26 and 28 July) and in the Baixo Alentejo sub-region (a 27 and 28 July).

Both in Central Alentejo and Baixo Alentejo, dissemination initiatives include the presence of a mobile vehicle, provided by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, in a central area of ​​the cities of Évora and Beja and also in Mourão and Viana do Alentejo.

MOBILE VEHICLE IN BEJA IN DAYS 27 And 28 JULY

Regarding the Baixo Alentejo region, the mobile vehicle will be in Beja, located between the Pharmacy “Pacheco” and Jardim do Bacalhau, on days 27 and 28 July, the 10:00h-20:00h.

The activities that will be carried out in the mobile vehicle are intended to, among others, publish the timetables and location of the Évora and Beja CADs, for carrying out the rapid tests of the aforementioned Hepatitis (and also HIV and Syphilis);

In the Conference Room of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, Beja, there will be a presentation of a retrospective work on the follow-up and treatment of Viral Hepatitis, in this Health Unit, still on date to be announced.
