33ª Volta Alentejo / Liberty Seguros presented in Reguengos de Monsaraz


Before departure a certainty exists in Around the Alentejo / Liberty Seguros: whatever the winner 2015, remains tradition: 33 turns, 33 winners.

VALENTEJO- Camisolas_800x800The "Alentejo", presented this morning in the auditorium of the Municipal Library of Reguengos de Monsaraz, will be on the roads in the region, between 25 and 29 March, five steps, in total 804,6 kms, starting in Portalegre and end in Reguengos de Monsaraz.

It is the largest squad ever in dispute Around the Alentejo / Liberty Seguros, as will be present 184 Runners, representing 23 teams, as 12 Portuguese, six-six Continental Club / Sub 23 and 11 foreign, including the United States Selection (USA).

From 2006, a Portuguese runner does not win the Tour to the Alentejo, with Sergio Ribeiro, the service of Barbot / Halcon, been or last winner, triumphing in the final step in Beja and won the race.

The "Alentejo" is the only race of the World, international category of the International Cycling Union (UCI), that no corridor could repeat the victory. Thirty two editions, thirty-two different winners.
