A26: Fª chamber of Alentejo reveals that section opens in March and no tolls.
Section of the A26, in Ferreira do Alentejo county opens in March and will be exempt from tolls, reveals the Municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo.
In a statement received by Lidador News, the Municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo do know that the new section of the A26 motorway, long built, but closed to traffic, as well as the government's decision to exempt this section of toll collection.

The Municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo has been developing, For some time, negotiations with the entity responsible for national roads, "Portugal Infrastructures", in order to find effective solutions for investment in the national road network in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo. Among the main concerns, expressed by the municipality, are the following national roads:
* IN 259 - Santa Margarida do Sado, a, Ferreira, including cases of a variant of the Knights Figueira;
* IN 121, Ferreira for Beja, and, also existing deformations, towards Ferreira to Canhestros, in Pardieiro area.
* IN 383, in Canhestros section for Strong.
Ongoing negotiations should lead to the attainment of major improvements within the county, shortly.
Since now, the town hall of Ferreira do Alentejo, welcomes the interventions, already made, improvement of EN 383, between Canhestros, and, Santa Margarida do Sado, and improvement of EN 257 between Odivelas and Alvito.
With the opening, scheduled for March, this section of the A26 motorway, Ferreira within the municipality, this will be improved significantly in their access and connected to the general network of motorways national and international, constituting itself as the gateway to the Beja District.
