Beja: Accident leaves five imprisoned firefighters. Three seriously injured and two light.
Five firefighters of Beja corporation were incarcerated, this Sunday, when they moved to a forest fire, Pias (Serpa).
The accident happened on National Road (IN) 255, in linking Sinks and Serpa, after the river Enchoé, and forced that there was an operation to rescue them from inside the overturned car.
Of the five firefighters, four men and a woman, aged 20 and 60 year old, three were seriously injured and two with minor injuries, but were all transported to the Beja Hospital.
The causes of the accident are still being investigated, but everything points, the bursting of a tire has been at the origin of the accident.
