Beja: PSP agent suspended from duties by IGAI.


The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAY) suspended for three months the PSP agent accused of torturing a Ukrainian citizen.

The minister accepted a proposal from the General Inspectorate of Internal Administration to suspend for 90 days the agent accused of torturing a Ukrainian citizen at the police station in Beja in 2019.

According to the newspaper PĂşblico, the General Inspectorate of Internal Administration (IGAI) proposed and the Ministry of Internal Affairs accepted the suspension, by 90 days, of the PSP agent from Beja accused by the Public Ministry of the crime of torture, cruel treatments, inhuman or degrading against a Ukrainian citizen, IGAI told the daily.

Now we are going to add the MP's accusation to the process and wait for the court decision to make a decision”, concluded.

DIAP stated in its communication that “the case files were partially filed in relation to other facts reported, involving several actors” and among these the cases that were not accused by the MP, will be the eventual use of the service pistol, as the person in charge of the company for which Aleksander Buiniakov worked at the time.
