One of three Moroccan citizens detained in the early hours of Wednesday, for robbing a Portuguese citizen in one of the main arteries of Beja, broke two windows of the Public Security Police Station.
Once inside the building, awaiting identification and arrest procedures, he became aggressive towards the agents and without anything making him predict, threw two heads at the windows and broke the glass. The situation was witnessed by a passer-by who was passing by the place., being a police witness that it was the individual who voluntarily provoked the violent action.
Men, aged between 22 and 39 year old, were arrested following the communication of a theft perpetrated next to the Avenida Miguel Fernandes car park, in the center of Beja, in which the suspects approached a Portuguese citizen and faced with threats, they stole the wallet, with money and documents and the victim's cell phone. After the alert given about 03,00 hours, a police patrol went to the place and according to the data transmitted by the man who was the target of the theft, the agents located the three men and proceeded to arrest them.
And it was when they were at the Police Station, after contacting the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) which confirmed that the three Moroccans were illegally in the country, that one of them broke the windows. The man suffered minor injuries., was taken to the Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja, was discharged shortly after medical.
Contacted the Public Ministry (MP), the detention of the three men was confirmed for the practice of aggravated theft and illegal stay in the national territory, the author of the violent action at the Police Station is also indicted for the crime of damage.
The three men are present this Wednesday afternoon at the Criminal Instruction Judge (JIC) of the Judicial Court of the District of Beja, to be subjected to a first interrogation and application of coercive measures.
