(Last hour) Beja: Five arrested for cannabis cultivation.


The Territorial Command Beja, through the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) Beja, yesterday, day 19 October, arrested four men and one woman, aged between 23 and 39 year old, for cultivation and trafficking of narcotic products, in Beja county.

As part of an investigation, involving the trafficking and cultivation of narcotic products, which had been going on for about two months, the Guard soldiers carried out police investigations that culminated in the execution of two search warrants, one at home and one in a vehicle, on an agricultural property.

The operation allowed the seizure of the following material: 415 060 doses of flowering and fruity cannabis juices, 4 255 cannabis plants, 15 doses of hashish, 86 kilos of cannabis seeds, 11 hallucinogenic mushrooms, two scales, two hot packaging machines, two laptop computers, seven cell phones, a dagger, three dehumidifiers, three exhaust fans, three thermometers, eight fans, three secateurs, five sprayers, various articles related to the processing and packaging of substances and various materials used in the packaging of narcotic products.

The five suspects were arrested and charged., having been present at the first judicial interrogation at the Beja Court yesterday, day 19 October, for the application of enforcement measures.

Military personnel from Criminal Investigation areas were involved in the operation., Intervention Detachment and Beja Territorial Command.
