There 97 positive cases of covid-19 at Mansão de São José, in Beja, “explosive” situation that was known in the late afternoon of this Wednesday.
After yesterday two cases were known inside the Residential Structure for the Elderly (ERPI), all users and employees of the institution on Rua de São Gregório, in the historic city center.
The case was made public through the page of the Municipality of Beja (CMBeja), via Municipal Civil Protection Service, where it is justified that following the positive testing of “a user and an employee”, the Public Health Authority of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo opted (ULSBA), for “carrying out tests on all users and employees of the institution, the remaining cases have been known.
According to CMBeja, testing resulted in “95 positive cases, 13 negatives and 15 inconclusive ”, added to the two previously identified. Has learned the Lidador News (LN), the 123 tests were carried out yesterday by ABC-Algarve Biomedical Center, Academic Research and Medical Training Center of the Algarve.
The municipality says that through SMPC, the ULSBA Public Health Authority, the District Social Security Center and other responsible entities “are working to provide an adequate response to this situation”, justified.
An assessment of the situation of the pandemic of covid-19 in the area of the municipality of Beja, the city revealed that until 24,00 hours of Monday, the total infected (cumulative number) it's from 148 cases, there 78 active, 68 recovered and 2 deaths.
The Mansion of São José, belongs to a Religious Order and has facilities on Rua de São Gregório, in the historic city center, where the focus is and aimed only at women and at Quinta da Navarra, on the Military Road, connecting the IP2 to the Air Base 11, also Beja, where it is unknown if there are positive cases.
