(Update) Beja: FALSE ALARM for grenades in the Historic Center.


UPDATE: It was a false alarm, the existence of grenades in a house under construction “cut” street in the center of Beja, on the old Rua das Lojas.

According to the PSP commander in Beja, it was a false alarm “being nothing related to explosives. Construction workers, by the format, suspected to be explosives, but our men made sure it had nothing to do with grenades. They would be parts of an old car and the shape eluded them”, justified Superintendent Glória Dias. A “operation” was terminated at 14,00 hours, demobilized means and work on the work resumed.
