The Judiciary Police arrested a man of 45 year old, for attempted murder of ex-partner of 41 year old, following an attack with a melee weapon, took place at dawn yesterday in the city of Beja.
Has learned the Lidador News (LN), the crime took place around 03,00 Sunday hours when the woman returned home, a building located in Largo da Estação do Caminho de Ferro, owned by the Municipality and which had been recovered for rent at controlled costs, for people with social needs.
The accused, Portuguese nationality, resident of a house approx. 200 meters from where the woman resided, waited for it to return home to attack it, having ambushed nearby and carried out the attack by stabbing him several times in the body.
The attempt to kill the ex-partner only failed due to the intervention of a third person, a security guard who was on duty at the Railway Station, it was this man who transported her to the Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja, in a state regarded as very serious, having entered directly into the Operating Room where he underwent a surgical intervention. According to data compiled by LN, the victim is admitted to the Surgery Service, in a state regarded as stable.
The PSP was at the scene and given the type of crime, was called to PJ, que cerca the 18,00 hours yesterday, the individual was stopped when he was returning from fishing. The attacker, gardener at air base (BA) 11, in Beja and had as a seasonal occupation the sale of verdemãos, a small fish used by fishermen as bait for fishing for largemouth bass, will be present this afternoon to a Judge of Criminal Investigation of the Court of Beja, to enact coercive measures.
