Inspectors from the Judiciary Police of the Southern Directorate arrested in Beja, two young, both with 17 years, being suspected of committing the crime of attempted homicide, making use of a melee weapon.
According to a statement issued by PJ, The crime occurred in the early hours of last day 30 of September, on one of the streets of the Alentejo city”, in which “making use of a bladed weapon, the suspects attacked the victim, a man of 29 years, injuries were caused, the severity of which resulted in danger to his life.”, ending up not dying due to the quick drive to Beja Hospital.
According to the police note, “the aggression follows an altercation caused by a group of teenagers, in which the suspects were included, and directed at two couples who were on a public street”, realizing, the Judiciary reveals that the injured man “reacted in defense of his partner”, concluded.
The investigations carried out in recent weeks by Judiciary Police inspectors, culminated in the identification of the presumed perpetrators of the crime and which led the Public Ministry of the District of Beja to issue the appropriate arrest warrants.
The arrests of the two young people took place yesterday and are being presented this Tuesday afternoon to a Criminal Investigation Judge of the Court of Beja to apply coercive measures., in an investigation that is led by the Prosecutor's Office of the Local Criminal Court of Beja.
