A van with vaccines bound for Ourique, lost in A2. There is a slight wound.
The screening took place at A2 and caused a slight injury, confirmed to JN official source of GNR.
The vehicle that carried the vaccines against the covid-19 was destined for Ourique, no Beja district.
The vehicle was going in the North-South direction of the A2 when it was lost at the kilometer 63, having hit the highway separator. What JN was able to ascertain from a GNR source, the vaccines that were being transported were not affected.
The damaged vehicle remains on the site, under surveillance by the authorities, awaiting the arrival of a new vehicle that can take the vaccines to their final destination, that would be Ourique. The driver suffered some injuries, but without gravity.
The Municipality of Ourique issued a statement on vaccination in the municipality.
The vaccines that the damaged van was carrying were intended for tomorrow's vaccination in the county. (Note: When the statement was issued there was still no knowledge of the accident)
The joint effort of the Municipality, of entities, institutions and citizens is decisive for reducing risks and overcoming the concrete situations that are occurring.
Prevention work, awareness and mobilization for this public health fight has the pillar of anticipating situations and reducing risks an essential area for containing the virus.
In this context, while we must maintain all protective care, stay at home whenever possible and comply with the remaining guidelines of the authorities, the vaccination process for households will be started according to the following schedule:
Today, 20 de Janeiro - Santa Luzia and Santana da Serra
Tomorrow, 21 de janeiro - Ourique and Garvão Continuing Care Unit
Saturday, 23 January – Panóias
Remember that this vaccination process occurs in two moments, with two doses, maximum immunity acquired after the second dose, major reason for maintaining compliance with all precautions during the initiative.
On the other hand, although in the same sense of prevention before covid-19, next saturday another round of screening tests will start for the employees of the homes and the municipality.
