According to information confirmed by Lidador NotĂcias (LN) from the Mayor of Beja “a statement from the DGS should be released today to rectify the situation and allow the municipality to proceed to the 3rd phase of the lack of definition”, with Paulo ArsĂ©nio revealing that “the Prime Minister called me this morning to report the error and its rectification, confirming that the numbers presented by us were the correct ones ”, justified.
The mayor added that he had a conversation with Mário Jorge Santos, Coordinator of the Public Health Unit of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), where “we analyzed the numbers and concluded that there was an error, that it mattered to be rectified ”, justifying that “the DGS should issue a statement and decreed that it will be published today, Beja will already be excluded from the group of seven ”, finished.
According to daily reports on the covid-19 pandemic issued by the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA), the Municipality of Beja had a total of 2259 at the beginning of the day 31 March and 2295 no final do dia 13 April, what in the incidence of new cases the 14 days, recorded 36 new cases.
In the formula for calculating incidence for each 100.000 population, the municipality of Beja with 33.579 inhabitants presents a ratio of 107 cases, out of 120 that forced him to remain in the second phase of deflation. So, Beja advances to the 3rd phase of deflation.

All shops and shopping centers; Restaurants, coffees and pastries (with the maximum 4 people per table inside or 6 per table on terraces), until 10:30 pm on weekdays or 1:00 pm on weekends and holidays; Cinemas, theaters, auditoriums, concert halls and Citizen stores with face-to-face service by appointment.
The practice of: Medium-risk sports modalities; Outdoor physical activity until 6 people; Realization of outdoor events with reduced capacity (5 people by 100 m ²) and weddings and baptisms with 25% stocking.
Secondary and higher education return to face-to-face mode.
