Between 11 and 17 December there is 46 new infected in the municipality of Beja. Municipality may move to high risk, which requires compliance with more restrictive circulation. Situation in Vidigueira worsens and in Serpa there is a slight improvement.
The municipality of Beja has 24 hours, a worsening of the situation of infected covid-19, with the revelation through the daily report of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo ULSBA), of 21 new positive cases, registering now 87 infetados. According to ULSBA data, between 11 and 17 of December, the municipality registered 46 Novos infetados.
The mayor justified that “I received the report (Daily report 17-12-2020-1) and I was worried about this new “explosion”, but I don't know the specific cases and places. I was not informed by the local health authorities ”, showing that the situation of the Municipality “can be recorded and undergo tighter measures, with a new risk rating”, concluded. On Tuesday a new outbreak at an IPSS was known, within the Manuel Gerardo de Sousa e Castro Home for Children and Youth at Risk, in Beja, that affected three girls and four employees. The institution has 33 children among 6 and 18 years from troubled and unstructured families and 19 female employees, having the foundation source assured to Lidador NotĂcias (LN) that “tests have been done and there are no new cases”, remataram.
Also a sports association in the city of Beja found itself grappling with a positive affair with a footballer who “dragged” with him 32 people, between athletes and managers for prophylactic isolation.
In a statement, Despertar Sporting Clube informed that “a positive case was detected in the squad of its senior squad, who is asymptomatic and in isolation ”, adding the bejense club that this year celebrates the Centenary that “activities in the Senior and Sub23 levels are suspended indefinitely”, the situation having been communicated to the Beja Football Association, well to local health authorities.

LN asked several questions to the Communication Services of IPBeja, but so far has received no response.
Beyond the case of Beja, Vidigueira also the situation is very worrying, since in the same period of 11 a 17 of December, the Municipality went from 6 to 40 infetados. Serpa, that already registered 141 cases, the situation improved slightly, presenting 3 recovered patients, but met yet another deadly victim, being now 12.
In the thirteen municipalities in the ULSBA intervention area, except Odemira, 331 active cases, being 13 sick in the line and 1 at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, m Beja. In total there is a record of 49 deaths, 22 of which in Beja and 12 and Serpa.
